The official trailer for Dune: Part Two, the follow-up to Dennis Villeneuve’s first Oscar-winning film, has been made available by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is anticipated to wrap up the story of Frank Herbert’s original 1965 novel.
The story of Paul Atreides, a smart and intelligent young man born into a vast destiny beyond his comprehension, is told in Dune, a mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey.
For the sake of his family and his people, Paul must visit the most hazardous planet in the cosmos.
Only those who can overcome their fear will survive as evil forces erupt into conflict for the planet’s sole supply of the most valuable resource ever discovered, a substance that holds the key to humanity’s greatest potential.
Where the Academy Award-winning Dune left off, Dune: Part Two picks up with Paul Atreides battling alongside the Fremen to liberate the desert world of Arrakis from House Harkonnen’s benign rule.
Emperor Shaddam IV, the head of the known universe who sent the Atreides family to Arrakis, will be brought to life by Christopher Walken.
We will probably see the Emperor in Dune: Part Two doing what emperors frequently do in movies: frightening the populace and putting down the revolt.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley Henderson are among the returning cast members in Dune: Part Two.
The cast of Part Two will also include Christopher Walken (Emperor Shaddam IV), Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot), Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), and Souheila Yacoub (Shishakli).
