Keep in mind that if you provide terrible service, your customers will not only not return as customers, but also not recommend you to others. A customer’s purchase of a product does not guarantee that they will purchase from you again; nevertheless, if they are happy with it, they are more likely to do so. Services are often provided at a set time and for a set period of time. Following that, the service agreement must be renewed or ended. A product can be acquired and possessed regardless of how much time has passed.

In the case of services, the benefit of low-cost monthly subscriptions, or a ‘buy once, use forever’ message for a commodity, should be the emphasis of marketing distinctions here.
