After being struck in the face during a concert by a flying object, Kelsea Ballerini said she was “more scared than hurt.”
After a fan tossed a bracelet onto the stage, the 29-year-old singer was forced to interrupt her performance.
When Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face by a flying object while performing, she felt more “scared than hurt.”
After a fan’s bracelet struck the singer in the eye during her performance at the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho, on Wednesday, the 29-year-old singer had to stop what she was doing. She has since informed her fans that she is “fine” and asked them to make sure her shows are “safe.”
“I’m fine; someone threw a bracelet at me; it hit me in the eye, and it more so just scared me than hurt me,” she stated on her Instagram Story.
We all have triggers and layers of concerns that go far deeper than what is depicted, which is why I left the stage to calm me and ensure that the band, crew, and audience felt secure enough to continue.
“All I ever want is for shows to feel like a secure environment for all of us.
“Let’s make the final two performances of the Heart First Tour the best ones yet. I love you and appreciate all of your care. (sic)”
The singer of the hit song “Rolling Out the Welcome Mat” also slammed Instagram commentators who said she was “soft” and that “stiches are the bar.”
She posted a screenshot along with the following message: Also, I’m just going to leave this right here. Our world is depressing and terrifying.
When the bracelet struck Kelsea, she instantly put her palm to her face and stopped playing guitar during the song “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too),” according to video footage from the concert that has been making the rounds online. Before leaving the stage, she spoke with her violinist and started playing again.
Can we just talk about what happened when she got back? I only worry about making sure everyone is secure. Please alert someone nearby if you ever feel unsafe. Just always flag it if someone is exerting too much pressure or if you just get a bad feeling. Don’t discard anything. Do you realize?
